This collection takes its inspiration from Hans Cristian Andersen’s fairy-tale The Little Mermaid.
In the story the mermaid goes through many challenges and transformations. Fairy stories were often written with coded social messages about individuals finding the strength within themselves to overcome life’s many challenges.
