Her working career began at an early age in fabric retail. With her love of fabrics and textiles, she was inspired to become a fabric wholesale sales representative. This led her to become a wholesale fabric buyer for New Zealand, Australian and South African companies.
For 10 years Di worked for Pumpkin Patch, initially as a technical assistant, then promoted to the Urban Angel Designer. Travelling overseas and collaborating with off shore factories enabled her to gain first-hand experience and knowledge in creating ranges and working with tight deadline schedules.
She has recently completed an Adult Tertiary Teaching qualification and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with our students. Watching them achieve their goals is a real privilege for Di to be on this fashion journey with them.
