World Art Games 2013

Whitecliffe MAAM Student Sharlene Schmidt, the President of the NZ National Committee of The World Art Games is poised to initiate a new and exciting program developed by the International World Art Games (WAG) that will see up to 62 countries come together in Croatia 2013 for the inaugural Arts Festival. WAG International will provide venues and programs that encourage improved recognition of all disciplines in relation to the arts. The initiative is unique in the sense that it covers every art form from many countries, across 3 cities in the selected host country biannually. What are the World Art Games? Much like the Olympic Games which see our sporting best represent our countries, it is a chance for all countries to participate and show case their chosen artists. All of the artists will be asked to perform or talk about their work on the International stage during the festival.
