Bachelor of Design + Digital Media

At the core of Valley is an extensive research endeavour that sought to uncover and articulate the narratives of persecuted churches across the globe.

This research phase involved gathering diverse perspectives, historical data, and personal testaments to create a rich assembly of information. By delving into the socio-political and cultural contexts of religious persecution, the project aimed to present a comprehensive portrayal of these communities’ and families struggles and resilience.

The research findings were translated into a compelling zine. A physical design deliverable that serves both as an educational tool and a piece of art. The zine was designed to be visually engaging and emotionally evocative, ensuring that the content resonated deeply with readers.

Valley has played a crucial role in encouraging greater dialogue and understanding about the Persecuted Church. By presenting the information in an accessible and engaging format, it may spark conversations that might not have taken place otherwise.

The zine’s emphasis on storytelling and visual design has proven effective in bridging knowledge gaps and dispelling misconceptions. By humanising the facts and presenting personal stories, Valley has made the absract concept of Christian persecution more tangible and relatable to a broader audience. This approach has helped to create a more informed and empathetic public, which is crucial for fostering solidarity and support for the Persecuted Church.
