This project was an entry for "Type Here," a New Zealand typography poster competition. The brief was to create a typographic poster on the theme of 'Kiwi Culchur' that explores what Aotearoa - New Zealand's diverse culture means in 2025. The entry was to be a typographic snapshot of our nation, expressing a personal interpretation, political message, or expression of aroha.
Allison’s poster explores a unique aspect of ‘Kiwi Culchur’: our conversation around the weather. The poster features the central text, “WEATHER CHANGES PRETTY FAST,” which is a common phrase and lived experience in New Zealand. The design uses a dynamic and glitchy aesthetic to visually represent the unpredictable nature of New Zealand’s weather.
