Modern Love
Matt Dowman’s painting, is a timely abstraction that combines techniques drawn from street art – such as airbrush – with vibrant clashing colours carefully masked to create a serpentine organic form. The execution of a diversity of application methods is impressive. The acid green and pink of this work immediately catch the eye and challenge notions of good taste in art. This contemporary take on abstraction excited Karl and I with its energetic composition and pallet.
