Whitecliffe complies with the Privacy Act 2020, which is designed to protect the privacy of individuals.
It governs the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the twelve information privacy principles in the Act.

Whitecliffe Education Ltd (Whitecliffe) collects and stores information from this form to:
- Manage the business of Whitecliffe, including internal reporting and administrative processes.
- Comply with the requirements of the Education and Training Act 2020 and other legislation relating to the maintenance of records.
- Supply information to government agencies and other organisations as outlined below.
By signing this enrolment form, you authorise the disclosure of your personal information for the stated purposes, on the understanding that Whitecliffe and any government agencies will comply with the legal requirements relating to the use and disclosure of personal information under the Privacy Act 2020, the Education and Training Act 2020, and other relevant legislation.
You are entitled to access any information Whitecliffe holds about you and request correction of any errors in that information. To do so, please contact Admissions.
Whitecliffe may supply data collected on this form to government agencies including the Ministry of Education, Education New Zealand, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, the Tertiary Education Commission, the Ministry of Social Development (including for student loans and allowances), Inland Revenue (for student loans), Immigration New Zealand (for students who are not New Zealand citizens or permanent residents), the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and agencies that support students through scholarships, payment of fees, or other awards.
These agencies may use the data collected to:
- Administer the tertiary education system, including funding and Fees-Free initiatives.
- Develop policy advice for government.
- Conduct statistical analysis and research.
Your personal details, including your name, date of birth, and residency, will be included in the National Student Index (NSI) and may be used in an authorised information-matching programme with the New Zealand Birth Register.
When required by law, Whitecliffe may release information to government agencies such as the New Zealand Police, Department of Justice, Ministry of Social Development, and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).
Information collected on this form may also be supplied to other educational organisations for the purpose of verifying academic records.
Fees
You undertake to pay all fees as they become due, and to meet any late fees and collection charges associated with debt recovery.
Whitecliffe’s policy on withdrawal and refund of fees may be obtained from Student Services.
Rules
You undertake to comply with the published rules and policies of Whitecliffe regarding attendance, academic integrity and progress, code of conduct, health and safety, and behaviour.
You release Whitecliffe from all liability for personal accident, injury, illness, or loss of personal equipment which may result from your involvement with Whitecliffe, including participation in field trips and related travel.
You accept full personal liability for any loss or damage to Whitecliffe materials or equipment, such as books, cameras, and other items, for which you are responsible. You also understand that Whitecliffe provides no insurance for materials or equipment used outside Whitecliffe premises except where such use is under the direct supervision of Whitecliffe tutorial or technical staff.
