You are eligible to apply if you:
- Have met entry requirements for the Master of Business Innovation and Leadership for March 2026 entry
- Are a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Are intending to enrol full-time in the programme at Whitecliffe – Auckland City

Scholarship Application Deadline: 30 March 2026 (or as soon as possible – spaces are limited!)
Application Process:
- Submit an application for study and email [email protected] with your application documents and the subject title ‘MBIL Change Makers of Aotearoa Award application’.
- Submission of a letter of motivation explaining their leadership, impact, and commitment to solving important challenges.
- Submission of a reference letter from someone who has directly experienced the applicant’s work — this could be a colleague, leader, or beneficiary of their initiatives.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis – the sooner you apply, the better your chances! If selected, confirm your place by paying the $3000 administration fee.
Scholarship Terms + Conditions
- The scholarships are only open to domestic students for full-time study commencing March 2026.
- Scholarships are available for students studying the Master of Business Innovation and Leadership at Whitecliffe Auckland City campus.
- This scholarship covers course fees only. It cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred from one programme to another.
- The offer of a Whitecliffe MBIL Change Makers of Aotearoa Award is on the condition that you remain enrolled for the duration of your scholarship. Whitecliffe retains the right to withdraw the Scholarship from students who: withdraw from enrolment after fee payments have been made, or transfer to another tertiary institution before completion of their master’s qualification.
- To retain your scholarship for your second and third trimesters of study, you must achieve a passing grade in all your courses in your first trimester.
- Should you fail any courses, your Whitecliffe Change Makers of Aotearoa Award will not cover repeating courses, future enrolments, or re-enrolments.
- Scholarship holders are expected to actively participate in the faculty during their studies. This could include supporting the writing of funding applications, academic paper preparation, project proposals, industry and sector engagement, or mentoring and student leadership.
- Whitecliffe can amend or vary these regulations if there is no departure from the main purpose of the Scholarship.
