Moving from Northern California to study at Whitecliffe has been a big step, but the welcoming community has made it feel much easier. As an international student, I really value the small, tight-knit student culture. It has helped me build close friendships, feel connected and settle into a new environment.
The Bachelor of Design + Digital Media has also given me the hands-on creative learning experience I was looking for. As I have moved into my second year, I have had more space to experiment and focus on my own creative direction. For me, that has been motion design. I enjoy bringing visual elements, icons, brand identities and digital concepts to life through movement.
“Whitecliffe has helped me understand how to think like a designer. Learning the fundamentals has been really important, especially as tools like AI become part of the creative process. I see AI as another tool that designers can use, but human thinking, creativity and intention still need to be behind the wheel.
The people at Whitecliffe have been very supportive and accommodating, especially while I was adjusting to a new country, a new culture and a different way of studying. For me, Whitecliffe has not only been a place to study design. It has been a place where I have been able to grow creatively, personally and as part of a community.
“Whitecliffe has helped me feel part of a creative community while developing the design skills, confidence and human-centred thinking I need for the future.”
