Aida Shahbazi is a lecturer in the Master of Business Innovation and Leadership programme. She is a PhD Candidate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Auckland, with over 16 years of academic and industry experience. Her work focuses on design thinking, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-connected learning. She has previously taught at the University of Auckland, contributed to interdisciplinary research in design, technology, and sustainability, and brings practical experience from co-founding a design firm and leading real-world training and innovation projects.
Aida is passionate about creativity, courage, and real-world learning. Her journey from design practice and entrepreneurship into teaching and doctoral research reflects her belief that education should be practical, innovative, and transformative.
