Shireen is a lecturer in the Master of Business Innovation and Leadership programme. She brings a strong background in leadership and organisational development with a specific interest in developing flourishing leaders and organisations in today’s complex environment. She has particular interest in complexity, systems thinking, vertical leadership and organisational development, gamification and play. She loves developing students who can integrate their academic learning with the contexts they will work and lead in.
Her most recent role was a Teaching Fellow at the Waikato Management School where she taught Leadership and Change Management, Intercultural Perspectives in Organisations and Strategic Management. Shireen also coaches, facilitates and speaks to leaders and organisations about adapting today’s complex environments.
Shireen holds a Master’s degree in Nutritional Science from Massey University, MBA from Southern Cross University, and a PhD in Leadership and Organisational Development from the University of Waikato.
Shireen enjoys walking Wynston, her dog at her local park and beach, playing strategy board games and cooking. She is an amateur gardener and sourdough bread baker.
