Kim Meek has experience leading and investing in art and design programmes in the tertiary education sector since 2001. Known as a developer and manager of learning experiences within the field of art and design, he is also recognised as a visual artist and is represented by Anna Miles Gallery.

Through ongoing engagement with curriculum development and assessment in creative learning environments, he is supportive of an inclusive approach to postgraduate education, nurturing practice-based scholarship, creative innovation and advanced professional development.

Kim has interest in encouraging relationships between Whitecliffe and the creative sector in Aotearoa, seeking to develop authentic conversations within the professional art and design field.

Understanding that creative professionals inhabit a network-based structure, Kim advocates for an arts education that is not an enterprise isolated from social or commercial practice, but rather, an integral component of our cultural and economic livelihood.

Kim received an MDes (Distinction) and BDes in Visual Communications from Unitec Institute in Technology.
