Lecturer, School of Fashion + Sustainability

School of Fashion + Sustainability

30 years as a designer, practitioner and maker in the Fashion industry was a gateway to the academic world where Susan completed a Masters of Art & Design at AUT.

Viewing fashion through an academic lens reignited a passion, a desire to teach and pass on skills to the next generation.

Susan’s role with Whitecliffe started in 2014, teaching the Diploma programme inspiring her students to develop resilience and work to their full potential. A key motivation is to create connections with industry enabling our graduates to establish their own careers through internships where I match the skill sets, personalities and passions of the students with the needs of their future employers.
