About the workshop:

Life drawing is the best approach to learn the fundamentals of composition, line control and mark making, proportions, volumes, and light and dark shading. This one-day workshop is an intensive engagement with figure drawing using a live model. The day session will start with various exercises to 'get into the flow' so that the students gain a sense of ease when approaching sustained drawing later in the day. The emphasis is on hand-eye coordination, composition and the various approaches to mark making and style that emerges through different drawing materials. The workshop is suitable for everyone who is interested in drawing the human figure, including established artists, total beginners and anyone in-between.
