About the workshop: 

An Introduction to Adobe’s Creative Suite ® of design applications and tools. This course will introduce the beginner to the big three of Adobe’s Creative Cloud: Photoshop ®, InDesign ® and Illustrator ®. The course will give an overview of Adobe’s design software and its features. The course will also touch on Adobe’s online support tools like Adobe Typekit ® and Creative Cloud Libraries ®, as well as Adobe’s new range of iOS mobile applications. At the completion of the course, the student will have a strong understanding of the potential of Adobe’s Creative Cloud as well as have a range of skills for using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator that will allow them to create their own work. This course is a solid foundation for further self-directed learning.

Note:

Computers (Mac) and access to Adobe cloud software provided for the course. 

About Paul Shadbolt:

Paul Shadbolt has been a graphic designer for many years and is an avid traveller and photographer. He holds a Design degree from Unitec and attended the Axis Awards Advertising School. He worked at Seven Visual Communication and was head of creative marketing at Redhead Clothing until he created his own design studio: Foundation Design. He also has experience as a systems analyst, hardware and software procurement manager and I.T. support. These extra roles have given Paul a greater depth of business-related knowledge and enhance his work as a designer. Paul is a lecturer on the Bachelor’s programme at Whitecliffe.
