Dr Laresa Kosloff has been invited to Whitecliffe as a guest examiner on the MFA programme. Kosloff is an internationally renowned Australian artist and is currently Senior Lecturer in the School of Art at RMIT in Melbourne.
Kosloff makes performative videos, Super 8 films, hand drawn animations, sculpture, installations and live performance works. Her practice examines various representational strategies, each one linked by an interest in the body and its agency within the everyday. Recent exhibitions include Art as a Verb, Artspace, Sydney (2015) and MUMA, Melbourne (2014); Auf den Punkt, Raum 2810 Gallery, Bonn, Germany (2014); Anne Landa Award for Video & New Media Art, Art Gallery of NSW (2013); Made Active: The Chartwell Show, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, NZ (2012); Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art, Glasgow (2012); ACCA Pop-Up Project, 54th Venice Biennale, Italy (2011); and Last Ride in a Hot Air Balloon, The 4th Auckland Triennial (2010).
