BFA & MFA Graduate Awarded Merit at Estuary Art & Ecology Prize 2018

Mish O’Neill was awarded Merit in the Estuary Art & Ecology Prize 2018 announced 7 July.

Senior Curator at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre Paul Brobbel was elected as judge for the prize this year. He had this to say about Mish’s submission:

"The photographic works in this year's exhibition were challenging, particularly in their embrace of abstraction and 'alternative' processes. Mānawa is an assertive and imposing work both amongst the photography within the exhibition and as one of the strongest images in the exhibition as a whole. This work stood out for its luminosity and confidence".

The exhibition of finalists’ work is on view until 17 August at Uxbridge Arts & Culture in Howick.
