The 2015 Wallace Art Awards finalists were recently announced and include Whitecliffe lecturers, students and alumni. Sir James Wallace established the awards more than twenty years ago to support and expand the visual arts in New Zealand and reward artists creating exceptional work. This year’s judges are esteemed arts practitioners Joyce Campbell, Andrew Clifford, Ian Jervis, Andrew McLeod and Philip Trusttum. Bronwynne Cornish, Mark Fitzgerald, Richard Maloy and Steve Rood are the judges for the Fulbright-Wallace Arts Trust.
The prizes include residencies in Switzerland, New York, Vermont and San Francisco and monetary prizes.
