Fifty-seven undergraduate and twenty-four postgraduate students were awarded their Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters degrees in a graduation ceremony held at the Auckland Town Hall on Friday, November 28. Hera Pierce welcomed graduates, family and friends with a Mihi Whaka Tau, which was followed by speeches from graduate representatives and an opening address from Whitecliffe President Michéle Whitecliffe. The guest speaker was David MacGregor, Founder of MacGregor Media and former Creative Director/Co-founder of Idealog Magazine.
The following undergraduate department prizes were awarded for excellence:
Gordon Harris Fine Arts prize - Jonathan Dunbar
Adobe Graphic Design prize -Michael Bevin
Canon Photography prize - Lea Schatter
Apparel HR and Apparel Magazine Fashion Design Prize - Nicole Wesseling
In recognition of outstanding achievements, the following Masters degree prizes were awarded:
Master of Fine Arts Prize – Jill Segedin
Master of Arts in Arts Management – Stephen Dorner
Master of Arts in Arts Therapy Prize - Sandra Harms
Master of Arts in Arts Therapy (Clinical) Prize - Bettina Evans
