Deborah Hide-Bayne, a Whitecliffe graduate of the 2009 MA in Arts Management, has used the skills she picked up during her studies to good effect.
Since graduating she has travelled, started a family, got her dream job as curator for Barry Brickell’s new Driving Creek Art Gallery in Coromandel Town and written a book!
The book, Coromandel Flavour, captures the relaxed way of life we have here by the beach and the availability of local seasonal produce. It celebrates life and oozes sunshine and nostalgic bach holiday vibes. A mixture of artist’s sketchbook, diary, recipe book, ‘hand written’ content, reportage-style photography and photographic collage, this book is a real ‘slice’ of Coromandel.
