The annual Whitecliffe Student For A Day programme has just concluded with over 350 students and teachers registering for one of the six days offered. While the majority were Auckland based there were a large number of highly committed students who travelled from Rotorua, Napier, Tauranga and Hamilton. The new format of Department specific days, along with two General days (covering all four majors – Fine Arts, Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Photography) appears to have been extremely well received. Those attending were clearly passionate about their art and design, and keen to learn so they could make the right decision for their tertiary study and for their careers.
After receiving a presentation from Heads of Department, and a tour of the campus students particularly enjoyed the lunch where they had the opportunity to hear about the Whitecliffe experience from current students. Visiting students commented that hearing from students close to their own age provided valuable insight into what life as a Whitecliffe student is really like. The Marketing Department would like to thank everyone who attended for their interest in Whitecliffe and we look forward to welcoming you in 2013.
