Saben/Whitecliffe Design Colaboration

Whitecliffe BFA Alumni, Roanne Joacobson, designer and owner of Saben has offered a collaborative opportunity for Year 4 Fashion Design student Madeline Harman.

Harman, who produced the top grade for her Year 4 collection research and design portfolio, will join the creative and production team at Saben to design a handbag for her graduating collection. The design will be professionally sampled and produced and launched in her catwalk presentation at the end of the year.

Brooke Fairgray, Saben’s Sales and Marketing Manager and 2009 Whitecliffe BFA graduate commented: “It is a great opportunity for the student to accessorise their collection and design a handbag that fits in their range. They could be as outrageous or as commercial as they wish and Saben will do the sampling production for them (approx two products). We are excited to see how the collaboration will go and if Harman and Saben find the design to be a great fit, the bag could end up in production and in stores.’
