Michele Whitecliffe, has awarded the 2011 Wikiriwhi prize to two students. Congratulations to Year 4 BFA Graphic Design major, Fraser Bingham and Year 4 BFA Fashion Design major, Madeleine Harman who share this award.
Michele Whitecliffe said: “I believe both Fraser and Madeleine to be worthy recipients and have endeavored to give each of them a unique experience that will encourage and inspire them in their future studies.”
Fraser will attend an intense typography workshop for 6 days in Templeton outside San Luis Obispo, California in June 2011. World-renowned instructors will share their professional processes and typographic knowledge over the duration of this workshop.
Through the Whitecliffe articulation agreement with Montclair State University, Madeleine is working towards joining a cohort of their fashion students for their annual 10-day study abroad experience in Italy, March 2012. The focus will be on issues surrounding the transformation of the “Made in Italy” identity in the twenty first century with an emphasis on the fashion industry.
