Master of Information Technology Achievement Scholarships

Whitecliffe is pleased to offer several Master of Information Technology Achievement Scholarships for the July 2024 intake.

To be eligible, applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in information technology and will be assessed on a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or 70% marks.  

Candidates must demonstrate significant industry contributions, explain motivation and plans to contribute to data science or cyber security and be considering leadership roles in future. 

A letter of reference from academic/industry supervisors or IT professionals working in the New Zealand IT Market has to be submitted as part of the application process for candidates to be considered for the Achievement Scholarships. 

How to apply:

  1. Complete a full application form on the website
  2. Provide proof of ID (passport or birth certificate),
  3. Provide a letter of reference and be able to explain motivation and plans to contribute to either data science or cyber security 
  4. Candidates will be notified upon selection to proceed to the interview stage with senior faculty
  5. A $1000 administration fee is to be paid upon enrolment

Deadlines:

  • Complete the application process before Friday 19th July 2024
  • Postgraduate faculty will review all eligible applicants for the Achievement Scholarships, and successful recipients will receive an Achievement Scholarship offer letter

Terms and Conditions:

  • Achievement Scholarships are available for the July 2024 intake only.
  • The Scholarships are only open to domestic students.
  • Scholarships are available for students applying to study the Master of Information Technology.
  • Scholarships will cover the full fees for completing the Master of Information Technology students for up to 180 credits of full-time study starting July 2024.
  • This scholarship covers course fees only. Student levies and course-related costs are not included. It cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred from one programme to another.
  • A non-refundable $1000 administration fee is to be paid upon enrolment in the programme.

Micro-Credential initiative:

Qualifying Master of Information Technology Achievement Scholarship recipients may* also qualify to study either of the following Micro-Credentials fees-free:

  • Cyber Technician (15 credits, Level 6)
  • Digital Forensics and Network Defence Essentials – (15 credits, Level 6)

*The outcome is based on Postgraduate faculty approval as the Micro-Credential will have to be completed during the period of Master level study.
