TUTOR: YOON TAE KIM
THE 6 WEEKS COURSE WILL RUN FROM TUESDAY EVENING 8 MAY TO 12 JUNE.
EACH CLASS WILL START AT 6PM AND FINISH AT 9PM.
This introductory course will cover a wide range of topics to get the students started with their digital camera but also extend their knowledge in photography professional practice. During this 6 weeks course with Yoon Tae Kim, students will learn how to understand and utilize the manual functions on their DSLR camera.
The course focuses on a different genre of photography each week – including landscape, portraiture, documentary and abstract. To maximize the benefits of taking the course, students will be given weekly photographic assignments relating to each genre. Instructions will also cover downloading and archiving digital images on a computer. Yoon will also discuss the topic of image enhancement using the software Adobe Photoshop. The photographic lighting studio will be used for a session on commercial lighting demonstration.
Yoon has a strong technical knowledge combined with an artistic flair, he will provide the students with useful feedback to help them improve.
You need your own Digital SLR for this class.
We recommend not to miss the first session. During the first session of the term, the tutor will explain the manual settings and how to best use the D-SLR camera with short practice trials. If a student was to miss this particular session, they could find it difficult to catch up later on during the course as they would have missed essential knowledge.
