The Year 4 BFA Fashion students created window displays throughout Newmarket for the Purfex Window Display Competition and Year 4 Mid Year Reviews in June. The students were asked to present a professional display of at least two outfits from their 2011 collections and employ methods of visual communication that enhance their display and clearly convey their concept and designer image. Purfex very generously offered $1000.00 in product for first place to Niketta Shine and $500.00 in product for second place to Natasha Keirle.
Industry judges for the Year 4 windows were Glen Wilkin-Holland from Purfex and Ton van der Veer who is a renowned Window and Product Display Artist. Ton visits the fourth year students in the studio and gives a presentation on the Art of Window Displays in preparation for the project.
