Fashion Design Advanced
For those who have already completed the Introuction to Fashion Design course or have basic knowledge in pattern drafting, this course will focus on advanced pattern drafting and sewing skills. Students will learn to draft a trouser and shirt block, and then construct the shirt in calico. Using industrial machines, you will learn garment construction elements such as cuffs, collars & inserting sleeves.
This course is suitable for intermediate students with previous experience in sweing and/or pattern making.
THE 6 WEEKS COURSE WILL RUN OVER 7 WEEKS FROM TUESDAY EVENING 2 MAY TO TUESDAY 13 JUNE (NO CLASS ON 16 MAY)
Each class will start at 6pm and finish at 9pm.
About Nazneen Sethna:
Nazneen graduated from Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Fashion Design. She has earned her experience in both the local and international market by interning and working alongside famous designers such as Amber Whitecliffe, HardOut Kiwi, Karen Walker & New York Designer, Thomasine Dolan. After graduating Nazneen started her own business Alter Me, specializing in dressmaking & clothing alterations, www.alterme.co.nz.
