The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) has recognized Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design as one of five leading private training establishments (PTE) in New Zealand and has approved Whitecliffe’s three-year investment plan. In the past, the TEC has only ever approved one-year investment plans for PTEs. However, based on Whitecliffe’s thirty-four year history, dedication to providing arts and design tertiary education and strong investment plan, it clearly shows that the TEC has trust and confidence in the future of Whitecliffe.
Dean of College Tommy Honey comments, “this is an outstanding outcome for Whitecliffe to be recognized in this way out of 700 private tertiary organizations. This secures our funding for three years and is an endorsement by the government of the value of creative education in a world that increasingly thinks the future lies in science and technology.”
