Whitecliffe College host Magnum workshops as part of the Auckland Festival of Photography 2015

Whitecliffe and the Photo Media Department are very pleased to announce an exciting partnership during the Auckland Festival of Photography in 2015. Globally respected photo agency Magnum will be running three five-day workshops on site at the College. The workshops will offer a unique opportunity to work alongside three hugely talented international photographers on a body of work made during the five days.

These workshops are being staged in collaboration with the Auckland Festival of Photography. Whitecliffe Photo Media students will have the opportunity to soak up inspirational thinking, learning and skills from these artists while acting as assistants on the workshops.

One very lucky student will be the recipient of a free place on one workshop. The awarding of this place will be decided through a competitive portfolio submission process, adjudicated by the Magnum photographers themselves.

It is a rare opportunity to host three international photographers of this calibre, and the Department is delighted to be able to offer access to their working processes and expertise to our students, as well as to the wider photographic community via these workshops.
