Fine Arts Lecturer Curates Exhibition at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery

Fine Arts lecturer Christina Read is curating 'The Brain' at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery, which opens Thursday 13th August 6pm, running until 15th November.

The Brain is commissioned by CIRCUIT Artist Film and Video Aotearoa New Zealand in partnership with Te Uru with the assistance of Creative New Zealand.

The exhibition is an idiosyncratic spatial and conceptual diagram of a brain, using 15 artists' video works to map questions both academic and amateur. The exhibition includes artists: Paul Cullen, Megan Dunn, Rebecca Ann Hobbs, Ronnie Van Hout, Laresa Kosloff, Owen Kydd, Sonya Lacey, Colie Leung, Richard Maloy, Michael Nicholson, Kim Pieters, Christina Read, Rachel Shearer, Daniel Von Sturmer and Layne Waerea. Whitecliffe Year Four Photo Media student Rainer Weston's work is also featured in the show.
