Arts Manager at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition

The Michael Hill International Violin Competition was recently held in Queenstown and Auckland with three members of the Whitecliffe community involved. MAAM graduate Square (Yee Yang) Lee was Tech Advisor for the competition, designing the voting system the judges used to select their winner. The system also allowed the audience to vote for their favourite performer. Executive Director of the competition was Anne Rodda, former student and Arts Management Lecturer at Whitecliffe and the Director of the Arts Management Programme Dr Lloyd Williams was Chairman of the Jury and is a trustee of the Michael Hill Violin Competition. The competition has established itself at the forefront of the field and attracts some of the best young violinists from around the world.
