Year One Fashion Student Takes Opportunity to Showcase Her Design

Whitecliffe Year One Fashion Design student Mania Moko, one of the twenty finalists chosen for the Newmarket Young Designer Competition displayed her entry at the “Boutique for Hope” store for public viewing as well as at the Cloud for ACP’s style weekend. Moko’s design was inspired by the traditional safari outfit with its rich earth tones, patterned and textured fabrics. Moko wanted to emulate all aspects of the safari but still keep grounded by taking the recognisable-featured patch pockets to reinvent the traditional silhouettes into an urban day wear outfit.
