Styling for SOMA

Continuing from her success as a finalist in the Westpac Young Designers Competition, Whitecliffe Year 4 BFA Fashion Design major, Jessica Grubisa, is making headlines with her first independent styling for SOMA magazine.

After working with photographer Russ Flatt at Black magazine (a bi-annual Fashion magazine from Aotearoa, New Zealand) while on her Year 3 internship, Jessica was approached by Flatt to create a 1940s theme for a men’s wear shoot. Hailed internationally as the seminal voice and vision of independent, avant-garde Arts, Fashion, Culture and Design for 22 years, SOMA magazine has cultivated wide readership appeal and forged its place within the thriving creative industries and communities the world over.

While completing her final year at Whitecliffe, Jessica also works part time as the Assistant Fashion editor for Black.
