Central Otago Art Awards

Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design would like to congratulate 2010 MFA graduate Marie Potter on becoming a finalist in the inaugural Central Otago Art Awards exhibition. The exhibition is to be held at Central Stories Museum and Art Gallery in Alexandra from September 8 until October 26.

There were submissions from over 200 artists and with just 50 works being selected, the resulting exhibition promises to be different, exciting and stimulating.

An online gallery is being created of the Central Otago Art Awards Exhibition - check out www.centralotagoarts.com/art-awards from September 9. The public will be able to register and vote for their favourite artwork via the website and these votes, along with the votes from the actual exhibition, will determine the $1000.00 ‘Viewers Choice Award’. Voting closes at 5p.m. on October 26.
