Student Support

Venturing into tertiary study at a new institution can feel rather daunting at times. Whitecliffe provides facilities, services, support and advice to help you adjust and to provide you with a positive and successful learning experience. One of the strengths of Whitecliffe is that we have a small and supportive community. It does not take very long for students to find their way around the campus and get to know staff and fellow students by name.

Parking

On-street two hours free parking is available on Balfour Road, with limited all day free parking in the surrounding residential area.

Students' Association

Whitecliffe Students' Association actively works to ensure students feel welcome by organising social and orientation activities. The Association is encouraged to work with management in ambassadorial roles. The student body is encouraged to establish informal support groups.

The Marketing Department can put you in touch with a member of the Association.

The Pearce Gallery

Throughout the year there are competitions and exhibitions by faculty, students, visiting artists and alumni. The Pearce Gallery (130 St Georges Bay Road, Parnell) can be hired for exhibitions, contact Matt Ellwood, Gallery Co-ordinator on matte@whitecliffe.ac.nz.

At the Pearce Gallery there is a large space for major exhibitions ranging from student work to international guests which can hold 50 standing comfortably in just the front space.

Change of Address

If you move during your study there are forms available from reception for you to fill out and pass onto Sandy Johnson in the Admissions office.

Changing an elective?

Keeping in mind that electives are subject to the spaces available, the Admissions office needs a completed change of elective form in order to check the possibility of a timetable change. For more information talk to the undergraduate programme co-ordinator
