“Arts therapy merges my lifelong dedication to the creative arts and helping people,” says arts therapy student Matthew Francis.
He is particularly proud of the progress of the children he has been working with through a community arts therapy programme he has been part of since beginning his studies 18 months ago.
“Studying here has given me the opportunity to experience what makes New Zealand unique and to be a part of an exciting and positive group of people. I have enjoyed learning from my colleagues and participating in a very strong and diverse group effort to learn and better ourselves,” says Matthew, who is an international student from the USA.
He adds that he finds the Whitecliffe faculty and staff helpful, kind, and always willing to go out of their way for the benefit of students.
