Morgan Libeau- MAAT (Clinical)

Morgan works as an Arts Therapist at Child Youth and Family and in private practice offering individual and group work with children, teens and families. Morgan works with an integrated approach utilizing art materials, symbols and sand tray, rhythm and creative writing. Her areas of expertise include forensic interviewing, sexual abuse, family violence, grief and loss, safety education, group facilitation, training, supervision, crisis intervention and court education.

Morgan’s thesis was titled ‘The Rhythms of Loss and Remembrance’ and was a single case study utilizing rhythm and songwriting to help a young woman express and process her grief following the death of her mother.

Morgan also facilitates personal safety classes for children and teens with a focus on prevention. The workshops are psycho educational and are a mixture of physical techniques, mental strategies and verbal assertiveness. Drama, music, and art are incorporated into the workshops.

Advocating for children has led to the writing and publishing of five books for children on sexual abuse awareness, education and healing, and preparation for child witnesses in court.
