Introduction to Digital Photography

TUTOR: TREVE DROMGOOL

This introductory course will cover a wide range of topics to get you started with your digital camera but also extend your knowledge in photography professional practice. During this 6 weeks course with Treve Dromgool, you will learn how to understand and utilize the manual functions on your DSLR camera. The course focuses on a different genre of photography each week – including landscape, portraiture, documentary and abstract. To maximize the benefits of taking the course, you will be given weekly photographic assignments relating to each genre. Instruction will also cover downloading and archiving your digital images on a computer. Treve will also discuss the topic of image manipulation. Photographic lighting studio will be used for commercial lighting demonstrations.

Note:

You need your own Digital SLR for this class. 


THE 6 WEEKS COURSE WILL RUN OVER 7 WEEKS FROM TUESDAY EVENING 21 FEBRUARY TO TUESDAY 4 APRIL (NO CLASS ON 14 MARCH)

EACH CLASS WILL START AT 6PM AND FINISH AT 9PM.


About Treve Dromgool:

Treve has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Photography, and a postgraduate qualification in Medical Photography. She is currently immersed in the photographic industry, practicing as a Ophthalmic photographer, working freelance, exhibiting, and teaching. www.treveimage.com
